Arsenal Sign Arshavin

Andrei Arshavin - Arshavin - 1-0 to the Arsenal

Andrei Arshavin has just signed for Arsenal, which is an excellent piece of business for the Gunners. The price was maybe £15 million maybe £12.5 million depending on who youlisten to.

Arshavin is a world-class player who should help Arsenal win the Premier League ! Well they can still dream I guess, but he might help them win the FA Cup.

The Arshavin saga has gone on so logn that a lot of people fell asleep. Let's hope he is beter at playing football than he is at signing contracts.

Arshavin Arsenal Deal Imminent?

Arshavin to Arsenal for £10 Million?

The latest news, according to a Daily Mirror exclusive is that Andrei Arshavin is about to agree a deal to sign for Arsenal for £10 million.

Sky Sports are still mentioning a value of £20 million but the Daily Mirror seems to think Arsenal will get Arshavin for £10 million, that would be an amazing deal if it went through.

One of the reasons it may go through is that Arshavin will be entitled to buy himself out of his contract for £5 million at the end of the season. Something which presumably Zenit is keen to avoid.

The Daily Mirror certainly sound confident that they have got it right.

Arshavin for Major European Club

Ramos and Real Madrid still interested in Adnrei Arshavin

Zenit St Petersburg manager Dick Advocaat says Andrei Arshavin is "too good" for Spurs and Rangers.

A number of clubs are still interested in Arshavin despite the difficulty of getting Zenit to agree to a transfer fee.

Advocaat said recently to the Daily Mirror: "As a manager I would like Arshavin to stay but as a person I realise that he deserves more. But Andrei is too good for Spurs or Rangers.

For me, it's obvious Zenit must let him go. I'm sure that as soon as he joins one of the European giants there will be no problems with his motivation.

In fact, he'll probably do even better than he did here."

With Juande Ramos now in charge at Real Madrid he is probably pleased he didn’t sign Arshavin while he was manager at Spurs, as he can now sign him for Real Madrid.

Arshavin for Toon

Arshavin for Toon

Andrei Arshavin may be on his way to Newcastle man - or Arsenal or Manchester City or just about any one of the other Premier League clubs - the price will be around £10 million (he is already 27 after all). Newcastle seem to be the favourites at the moment and certainly he will fit in well with Keegan's style.
